Ukrainian soldiers eliminate 1,400 Russian invaders, wipe out 33 artillery systems and 115 drones in a single day

Since the start of the full-scale war, Russian troops have suffered a total loss of approximately 579,490 soldiers. In just the past day, July 31, Ukraine's Defense Forces successfully eliminated almost 1,400 more invaders.

The General Staff of Ukraine's armed forces reported this.

Yesterday, Ukrainian defenders successfully eliminated 1,370 enemy aggressors.

In addition, during the almost full 888 days of the war, the Ukrainian troops "demilitarized" thousands of units of armored vehicles, automobiles, and aviation of the Russian forces.

Last day, Ukrainian soldiers also destroyed 42 armored vehicles, nine tanks, and 33 artillery systems.

Ukraine's Air Force landed another 115 UAVs.

The total combat losses of the enemy from 24.02.22 to 01.08.24 approximately amounted to:

• personnel – about 579,490 (+1,370) persons were liquidated;
• tanks – 8399 (+9) units;
• armored fighting vehicles – 16,203 (+42) units;
• artillery systems – 16,119 (+33) units;
• MLRS – 1132 (+1) units;
• air defense equipment – 907 units;
• aircraft – 363 units;
• helicopters – 326 units;
• UAVs of the operational-tactical level – 12968 (+115) units;
• cruise missiles – 2407 units;
• ships/boats – 28 units;
• submarines – 1 unit;
• automotive equipment and tank trucks – 21,816 (+77) units;
• special equipment – 2713 (+16) units.

Also, on the last day, according to the General Staff, 156 combat clashes took place at the front. On the Pokrovsk front, Ukrainian defenders repelled 55 assaults by Russian invaders.

According to the military command, the Defense Forces' aviation, missile forces, and artillery successfully: 

• carried out 18 attacks on enemy personnel and anti-aircraft defense areas, 
• destroyed five control posts, 
• eliminated two enemy air defense vehicles, 
• disabled a communication hub, 
• and destroyed three ammunition and fuel storage facilities, 
• as well as a significant enemy target.

As reported, after the adoption of the law on strengthening mobilization in May 2024, Ukraine will recruit up to 30,000 new military personnel every month, which is almost equal to what the Russian army recruits every month.
