Solutions to win: Ukraine inks billion-hryvnia deal for drone and ammunition supply with domestic manufacturer

The Defense Procurement Agency of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine concluded an agreement with a domestic manufacturer for the supply of ground-based kamikaze drones and ammunition worth more than 3.7 billion hryvnias.

The agreement for the supply of land-based kamikaze drones was signed following the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities under the President of Ukraine, which Deputy Minister of Defense Dmytro Klimenkov attended.
"We are working to ensure a stable supply of not only unmanned aerial vehicles, but also ground-based kamikaze drones, which should become a powerful tool in the hands of our military. These drones are an important component of our defense strategy because they can effectively carry out strike missions against the enemy," the official said.
In addition, the Defense Procurement Agency concluded an agreement on the supply of ammunition.
"We continue to buy the most necessary weapons for the Armed Forces from Ukrainian manufacturers: from ammunition to modern technological solutions, such as ground drones. In total, within the framework of this visit, we concluded agreements worth more than UAH 3.7 billion," the director of the Defense Procurement Agency, Maryna Bezrukova, noted.
The Ministry of Defense noted that this step confirms the defense department's desire to "implement the latest technologies and support the national industry."

On December 19, during a press conference, Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelensky noted that one million drones will be produced in Ukraine next year.
Earlier, the head of the Security Service of Ukraine announced that a unique marine surface drone, "Sea Baby," was produced in Ukraine. The drones are made in Ukraine, but the factories are underground.
Furthermore, Ukraine has begun mass-producing its own version of the Shahed drones, with the capability of manufacturing dozens of these drones in just one month.
It is worth adding that Ukraine can produce more than three million drones annually. The state has sufficient production capacity and cooperates with international partners to achieve this.
