Zelensky names three factors for fair end to the war
Support for Ukraine, patience, and diplomatic pressure on the Russian Federation are three factors for a fair end to the war. By the end of November 2024, Ukraine will develop an action plan to achieve peace.
The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, stated this in an interview with the Japanese broadcaster NHK, Rubryka reports.
"Patience, support (of Ukraine—ed.), and diplomatic pressure (on Russia—ed.) are the three factors for a fair end to the war. If the US and European countries maintain unity, it will be additional pressure and show Moscow that it has no chance," he said.
Zelensky emphasized that he cannot respond to calls for a ceasefire while Russia continues to occupy the territory of Ukraine.
The president noted that Kyiv will start detailed negotiations with the relevant countries regarding territorial integrity and other issues.
He said he would create an action plan to achieve peace by the end of November.

The head of state also said that he invited former US President Donald Trump to visit Ukraine during a recent telephone conversation.
"If Mr. Trump wants to know something about Ukraine, he can come and see for himself or ask me. Trump told me that he is ready to answer any questions and that I have his phone number," Zelensky said.
The president also emphasized the importance of support from Japan.
"Japan is a representative of the Group of Seven and has provided us with economic, humanitarian, and technical support. It quickly came to our aid. It was the first non-NATO country to sign a security cooperation agreement with Ukraine," the head of state said.
He also expressed hope that Japan, as a leader of the Pacific region, will use its influence on other countries to ensure cooperation for Ukraine's recovery.
As Rubryka reported, President Volodymyr Zelensky said in a video message that Ukraine will receive everything it needs to survive and achieve its goals.
