Solutions to win: Ukrainian rock bands donate 1,000 FPV drones to armed forces during charity tour

The Ukrainian band Druha Rika, along with their fellow musicians Kozak System and singer Marta Lipchey, have just finished the main part of their charity tour, "The Invincibles." The proceeds from this tour will be used to buy FPV drones for the armed forces.

The musicians reported this on their social media pages.

What is the solution?

Thanks to the concerts held in Uzhhorod, Mukachevo, Chernivtsi, Ivano-Frankivsk, Khmelnytskyi, Lviv, Odesa, Dnipro, and Poltava, as well as the support of their partners, the bands were able to buy 1,000 drones.

"Druha Rika" handed over 200 FPV drones to the units from which it received requests.

How does it work?

The band noted in its post, "We are grateful to the tour organizers and everyone who attended the concerts because every hryvnia from the purchased tickets went to an important cause."

There were some unexpected moments on the tour as well. In Lviv, while performing the song "Not Alone Anymore," Valeriy Kharchyshyn accidentally fell off the stage. Thankfully, Lviv locals were quick to lend a helping hand and caught him in the crowd, so there were no injuries.

The final concert of "The Invincibles" tour will take place on August 23 at the Stereo Plaza concert hall in Kyiv. Tickets can be bought at the link.

It should be noted that since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Russia into Ukraine, "Druha Rika," thanks to the support of its fans, has collected about 20 million hryvnias to help the Ukrainian army.

With this money, the musicians bought:

  • cars,
  • ammunition,
  • drones and other weapons.

And they also transferred money to repair equipment to a specialized fund.

The team started purchasing FPV drones last year, and since then, the artists have handed over almost 600 drones to the army's needs.

For reference:

It should be noted that during a charity concert tour in Great Britain and Ireland, the rock band "Druha Rika" collected more than a million hryvnias for boats for Ukrainian scouts.

Earlier, Rubryka also wrote that with Diana Podolyanchuk's Charitable Foundation, the "Druha Rika" musical group handed over UAH 1.8 million to the special unit of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.

Afterward, to show appreciation for the assistance that will be used to acquire combat equipment, special agents of Ukraine's intelligence gifted "Druha Rika" musicians with a state flag bearing the signatures of soldiers and a souvenir from the Ukrainian military intelligence.
