According to the publication, last night in north Tulcea county, local officials declared an air raid warning after multiple drones were spotted approaching the border from the Ukrainian side.
The Emergency Management Office has issued an alert for northern Tulcea county, notifying the public of potential falling objects from the airspace near the border with Ukraine.
According to the statement, the announcement was made after the Romanian border and surveillance agencies observed multiple objects (drones) heading towards the northern area of Tulcea county at approximately 02:10.
The source of the publication also explained that the message was intended to inform and caution the local population in the designated area, and it should be regarded as such.
"They should follow the instructions contained in the message and not panic. The structures of territorial defense and public order of the country are ready to provide all the necessary support to those who ask for it, and we make it clear once again that no part of our territory is an object of the attacks from the Russian Federation," the source said.
In addition, the fire service emphasized that the single emergency call number 112 received ten calls about the sounds of explosions.
"Most of the calls were from the municipality of Tulcea, and they signaled that they heard explosions. However, there were also calls in which citizens asked for information, and the operators of the control center of the Emergency Situations Inspectorate "DELTA" of Tulcea county gave them all the information to understand that what they heard happened on Ukrainian territory," the State Border Service added.
According to the agency's statement, at 03:46, an air raid alert sounded.
Meanwhile, the monitoring public has released a video of the alleged attack of a Russian drone on the village of Plauru on the Romanian bank of the Danube in the area of the city of Izmail (Odesa region, Ukraine).
