Ukrainian team NAVI takes home victory at ESports World Cup in Saudi Arabia
The Ukrainian eSports team NAVI won the Esports World Cup tournament in Counter-Strike 2.

In the final, NAVI defeated G2 Esports 2:1, scoring 14:16 on Ancient and 13:6 on Nuke and Inferno.
The Ukrainians made an unsuccessful attempt at the Ancient map, where the German team proved to be superior. The second map, Nuke, was a close battle at the start, and the first half ended in a tie (6:6). However, the Ukrainians emerged as the victors in the end.
Everything was decided on Inferno. The Ukrainians started very confidently and finished the first half with a comfortable advantage (9:3), which they eventually realized.

On their journey to the finals, NAVI defeated the Brazilian team Furia in the group stage, overcame the American organization FaZe in the quarterfinals, and emerged victorious against MOUZ in the semifinals.
For winning the tournament, the team received $400,000 and 1,000 points in the overall Esports World Cup 2024 club rating.
The Esports World Cup, a large multidisciplinary eSports tournament featuring Counter-Strike 2, will take place in Saudi Arabia from June 28 to August 25.

In 2011, the Ukrainian team made history by becoming the first-ever champions of The International Tournament, the biggest Dota 2 competition in the world.
In 2021, the NAVI CS: GO team won the major tournament – PGL Major Stockholm.
The team made history in eSports by winning three major Counter-Strike tournaments in a single year – the 2010 World Cyber Games, Intel Extreme Masters, and Electronic Sports World Cup.
Also, the Ukrainian e-sports team Natus Vincere (NAVI) won Copenhagen's first Counter-Strike 2 championship. Their victory earned them a $500,000 prize and tickets to the BLAST Premier World Final and Esports World Cup 2024 tournaments.
It should be noted that the Ministry of Youth and Sports recognized e-sports as an official sport in Ukraine.
