Solutions from Ukraine: Pereiaslav university launches eco-space for supporting mental and physical health for veterans and their families
A new eco-space for supporting and recovering physical and mental health has been established in the Kyiv region, located at the university in Pereiaslav. The space also offers five programs for comprehensive psychosocial support for veterans and their families.

Veterans returning to civilian life often have trouble adapting to new realities and need support in solving many issues.

The goal of Hryhoriy Skovoroda University in Pereiaslav is to aid and enhance veterans' opportunities to smoothly transition into civilian life and continue to pursue their personal growth.

The university has established a new eco-space to promote physical and mental health support and recovery.
In addition, five projects are dedicated to providing comprehensive psychosocial support to veterans and their families.
How does it work?
As part of the university Central Committee's activities:
- over 300 psychological consultations were offered;
- additionally, eleven psychological training sessions were held for the families of veterans.
The center offers educational programs and advanced training courses that contribute to acquiring new competencies.

The Center for Veterans Affairs partners with the regional employment center to assist veterans in finding employment.
About 800 people joined their joint activities.

It is worth mentioning that the National University "Kyiv-Mohyla Academy" plans to establish a Resource Center for veterans and recently organized a panel discussion on "Education for veterans: what is necessary for a successful transition back to civilian work life."
Ukraine has released a series titled "People with war experience. Dignity. Interaction," discussing how to interact with individuals with combat experience properly.
Recently, Olena Zelenska presented the fourth installment of this educational series, focusing on how to interact with veterans who have visible disabilities.
