The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, reacted to the shooting during the rally of the candidate for the presidency of the United States of America, Donald Trump, and wished him a speedy recovery.

Rubryka writes about this, referring to Zelensky's Twitter.

"I am appalled to learn about the shooting of former U.S. President Donald Trump at his rally in Pennsylvania.

Such violence has no justification and no place anywhere in the world. Never should violence prevail," Zelensky wrote.

Zelensky also added that he was glad that the candidate for the US presidency was now safe.

Donald Trump's attempted assassination

We will remind you that in Pennsylvania, during the campaign rally in Butler, the sounds of shots were heard by the US presidential candidate Donald Trump. He was not injured, and the shooter was shot dead.

As noted, Donald Trump was shot in the ear, as a result of which a trickle of blood could be seen on his face. Trump's security escorted him off the stage, but he soon returned, showing a clenched fist to the crowd and saying, "Fight! Fight! Fight!"

The attacker killed one spectator at the rally. Two more were seriously injured and were transported to the hospital by helicopter. The shooter himself was shot dead by a Secret Service agent.

Trump spokesman Stephen Chung said the former president "was fine."

President Joe Biden released a statement saying he was glad to hear Trump was OK.

I'm grateful to hear that he's safe and doing well. I'm praying for him and his family and for all those who were at the rally, as we await further information. Jill and I are grateful to the Secret Service for getting him to safety. There's no place for this kind of violence in America. We must unite as one nation to condemn it," he said.

The White House said Biden spoke with Trump, Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro, and Butler Mayor Bob Dandoy.
