In the Netherlands, the local company Dieseko Group BV (Dieseko), which participated in the illegal construction of the Crimean Bridge, was fined €1.78 million as part of an out-of-court settlement.
The Dutch prosecutor's office informs, Rubryka reports.
According to the agency, the construction equipment supplier Dieseko earned more than €1.6 million on this bridge. During 2015-2016, it sold installations and related equipment for the bridge's construction and provided technical assistance, particularly sending its mechanics there.
The company was found guilty of violating sanctions for participating in the construction of the Crimean Bridge. Since Dieseko had not previously been prosecuted, the prosecutor's office agreed to a pretrial settlement.
According to it, in addition to a fine of €180,000, €1.6 million earned during the bridge's construction will be confiscated from the company in favor of the Netherlands. The company also promised to take measures not to violate sanctions again.
