Solutions from Ukraine: philanthropists fund construction of inclusive veteran housing in Kyiv region

The head of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration, Ruslan Kravchenko, announced the construction of a new town in Kovalivka with the support of the Andrii Zasukha charity fund and Kolos Kovalivka Football Club.

Ruslan Kravchenko reported this on his Facebook.

What is the solution?

A residential complex for disabled soldiers, funded by philanthropists, is currently under construction in the Kyiv region.

How does it work?

A residential complex is being built in the Kyiv region specifically for heroic soldiers who have suffered severe physical injuries.

It will consist of 56 individual houses, each 80 square meters in size, for military personnel and their families.

All houses are equipped with all amenities for comfortable living and relaxation.

"Renovations are currently underway; kitchen furniture will be installed here, and a bathroom and a bathroom will be installed. The houses will also have a terrace for relaxation and a small plot of land nearby. Sidewalks and driveways will be equipped for free movement around the town," Ruslan Kravchenko says.

It is also planned to arrange:

  • outpatient clinics,
  • playgrounds,
  • sports grounds.

In addition, an anti-radiation shelter for 100 people will be built.

Military children will have a special bus for delivery to schools and kindergartens.

Military personnel and their families will receive houses and plots of land. After settling in the houses, the veterans will be employed at one of the local enterprises.

The head of the Kyiv region handed over the first two certificates for houses in this complex to Ukraine's intelligence soldiers.

The same certificates will soon be given to veterans from the 3rd separate assault brigade, the 72nd separate mechanized brigade named after the Black Zaporozhets, and the 114th territorial defense brigade.

For reference:

It is worth mentioning that the "Dostupno!" chatbot has recently been introduced in Ukraine to assist individuals with disabilities, older people, and those with limited mobility in locating the nearest accessible facilities.

As Rubryka reported, a railway station reconstruction project was presented in Lviv, according to which it will become the first barrier-free station in Ukraine.
