Rebuilding Ukraine: USAID collaborates with Ukraine to provide training for construction equipment operators
The Ukrainian Ministry of Economy and USAID have joined forces to introduce the "School of Construction Equipment Operators" in Ukraine. This new training program aims to provide opportunities for Ukrainians without prior experience to acquire a valuable skillset.
The Ministry of Economy's press service reports this.
What is the problem?
"Today, the state is dedicated to providing people with new opportunities to achieve their full potential. From grants for starting or growing a business to programs for retraining and skills enhancement and employment opportunities for marginalized groups, we aim to ensure that everyone can choose the option that best suits their needs. Our focus is on supporting youth, veterans, and women," Deputy Minister of Economy of Ukraine Tetiana Berezhna said.
What is the solution?
Therefore, with the assistance of the Ministry of Economy and the support of USAID, a new training program, "School of Construction Equipment Operators," was launched in Ukraine.
How does it work?
Training at the "School of Construction Equipment Operators," based on the Nemishaieve Vocational College, will begin on August 1, 2024.
The course includes nine weeks of theoretical and practical classes.
According to the results, the participants will receive a state certificate and assistance with employment.
Education, accommodation, and meals are free for all participants.
Ukrainians who are 18 years old and want to learn a new profession can join the training.
The program is also designed to create more conditions for women to realize their potential in the labor market in the broadest possible range of professions that may interest them.
