The Ukrainian company AZTech-Ukraine, which specializes in large-scale assembly and partial production of Croatian DOK-ING machines, has been granted a certification of conformity for its MV-10 heavy demining machine.

The Ministry of Economy of Ukraine reported that.

The company has an order for eight such machines. Ukrainian sappers have already received the first copy, made with funds collected as part of the UNITED24 initiative.

"It is important for us that the Ukrainian enterprise manufactures the components and assembles the machines that demine our land. The demand for such equipment for humanitarian demining by sappers is very high, and we expect that thanks to the support of partners on the one hand and the capabilities of Ukrainian manufacturers on the other, we will be able to both increase the number of demining machines working in the fields and improve their quality service. We hope that in parallel with the localization of foreign technologies, there will be an increase in Ukrainian developments for demining," Yulia Svyrydenko, First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy of Ukraine, said.

AZTech currently produces 40% of the components for the MV10 working body, with plans to reach 100% by the end of the year. We have also enlisted two additional Ukrainian enterprises to assist with subcontracting work on these machines, specifically for components used in the machines' transportation. Overall, AZTech can manufacture up to 60 MV10 demining machines each year.

Currently, 17 DOK-ING MV-10 heavy demining machines are operating in Ukraine. Specialists of the State Emergency Service, the State Emergency Service, and the Swiss Mine Action Fund use these machines mainly in the Mykolaiv, Kherson, and Kharkiv regions. As of the end of May, with the help of these machines, 850 hectares of Ukrainian lands were cleared, and more than 4,500 mines, cluster munitions, and other types of explosive objects were destroyed.

For reference:

DOK-ING MV-10 is a heavy demining machine with a double working set: a chain mechanism and a cutter. Able to withstand the detonation of an anti-tank mine. It is used to clear areas of various types of mines and explosive objects. MV-10 can clean up to 3000 m2 of area per hour. It can work both on a flat surface and on slopes.
