Based on the findings from the Ukraine Recovery Conference 2024 in Berlin, Germany will make a new contribution of EUR 50 million to the Energy Support Fund of Ukraine.

The Ministry of Energy of Ukraine reports this.

The country's contribution to the Fund will exceed 275 million euros. This marks the largest contribution from sponsors to the Fund, which has amassed over 545 million euros up to now.

Ukraine's Minister of Energy, Herman Halushchenko, thanked the German partners, particularly the German Vice Chancellor Robert Habeck, for the constant support provided to Ukraine since the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion.

"This assistance is significant for us. The corresponding funds are directed to the purchase of energy equipment, which Russia destroys with its regular attacks on our facilities," he emphasized.

Since March 2022, Ukraine has received from Germany 120 shipments of humanitarian aid for the energy sector, totaling more than 1,670 tons, including transformers, generators, cables, fittings for overhead lines, and other equipment necessary for restoration work.

For reference:

It should be noted that the Energy Support Fund of Ukraine was created in the spring of 2022 on the joint initiative of Herman Halushchenko and the European Commissioner for Energy, Kadri Simson. Over the past few weeks, Australia, Great Britain, Austria, Sweden, Iceland, and Estonia have also contributed funds or declared their intention to contribute to the Fund.
