During the nationwide telethon "Yedyni Novyny," he discussed this while answering a journalist's question about the results of the air defense forces' activities in the past week.
"We see that the enemy constantly maintains the presence of its attack unmanned aerial vehicles of the Shahed type, which it uses from the north and the south of our country. In particular, our energy infrastructure remains under attack. We also see combined attacks from the Russian side: missiles Kh-101 and Kh-555 in combination with UAVs. The enemy also constantly changes tactics: changes altitude and speed, and constantly looks for different options for reaching certain objects," he said.
At the same time, the spokesman emphasized the effectiveness of Ukraine's air defense.
"Majority of the missiles and drones are shot down. We possess our intelligence and the training to defend against the enemy's attacks successfully," he said.
Yevlash added that the air defense forces need more installations and different types of ammunition to protect the country's territory better.
The spokesman of the Air Force Command of Ukraine also noted that the destruction of the Su-57 was a decisive blow to Russia's aircraft fleet.
"Throughout the entire full-scale invasion, the enemy did not use the Su-57 aircraft near the state border or directly at the conflict line. The Russians were well aware of the aircraft's high value, worth billions of dollars, and thus chose not to risk its exposure to danger by using it," he said.
At the same time, he emphasized that the aggressor state still has about 1,500 aircraft capable of launching Kh-69 and Kh-59 guided missiles, as well as guided aerial bombs.
"Of course, there are a lot of different aircraft in Russia – up to 1500 aircraft that perform various combat tasks. Of course, destroying one or two aircraft is also powerful. At the same time, we need to continue working to neutralize Russian aviation," the spokesman said.
For reference:
As reported, a Russian Su-57 multi-role fighter was hit on the territory of the Akhtubinsk airfield in the Astrakhan region.
Moscow's most modern fighter, the Su-57, can be used for strikes with Kh-59 and Kh-69 missiles. A few units of the specified combat aircraft are in service with the Russian Aerospace Forces.
Subsequently, the representative of Ukraine's intelligence, Andriy Yusov, noted that during the June 8 attack on the airfield "Akhtubinsk" in the Astrakhan region, not one but two Russian Su-57 fighters could have been damaged.
