BGV Charity Fund and KSE Foundation donate 100 vehicles to Ukraine’s State Border Guard Service
100 Volkswagen T5 vehicles, purchased and donated by the BGV Charity Fund in collaboration with the KSE Foundation, have enhanced the mobility of border guards on the front lines. The first batch of 50 vehicles has been on the front lines since February, and another 50 were handed over to the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine today, June 6.
The vehicles have completed their maintenance cycle and will be deployed to the border guard units today to carry out operational tasks in the front line and conflict zones.
Polina Aldoshyna, chair of the BGV Charity Fund, said, "Since the early days of the full-scale war in Ukraine, the BGV Charity Fund has been assisting border guards. We specifically purchase and deliver equipment, gear, and FPV drone components. The 100 vehicles were the largest request we received from the border service. Our team quickly found, purchased, and delivered the necessary vehicles from abroad. Each vehicle underwent technical upgrades and was equipped according to the specific needs of military units for various combat and operational tasks."
Svitlana Denysenko, director of the KSE Foundation, stated, "Thanks to our international partners and private donors, we accumulated $1,000,000 to support Ukraine's border guard service and added 100 vehicles to its fleet. These vehicles will be used to support our border guards in their tasks, from ensuring mobility to setting up observation and communication points."
Ukrainian border guard units, part of Ukraine's Defense Forces, actively participate in combat operations on the front lines and in the liberation of occupied territories. The vehicles are essential for equipping brigade-type border units, which have already been formed and continue to be established within the service.
Serhii Serdiuk, Deputy Head of Ukraine's State Border Guard Service, expressed his gratitude, "We sincerely thank the donors for this much-needed assistance. These vehicles will be deployed to border units and help the border guards perform their tasks and counter the aggressor in the east, north, and south of our country."
The donated vehicles meet the border guard's requirements and can be adapted for various tasks, both special and combat. The vehicle bases allow for the installation of any equipment, including communication tools, unmanned aviation, surveillance devices, and necessary logistics support.
Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion by the aggressor country, the BGV Charity Fund has been helping Ukrainian defenders, including border guards, and strengthening Ukraine's defense capabilities.
