Solutions to win: Ukrainian company successfully conducts extensive testing of female military underwear

The Ukrainian business brabrabra has completed large-scale testing of underwear for female military personnel.

Rubryka writes about this.

What is the problem?

The "One for One" initiative, announced in January 2024, aims to provide comfortable underwear sets for female military personnel.

When the initiative was launched, the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense started to supply women's uniforms, but in an inadequate amount – only two sets for two years.

What is the solution?

The Ukrainian lingerie brand brabrabra recently started a new project where their team created specialized sets for female soldiers with the help of the Arm Women Now Foundation and the Veteranka Movement.

Since the start of the full-fledged campaign, 445 sets of comfy underwear, tailored from the initial test results, have already been distributed to female military personnel.

How does it work?

"Our team is always putting the woman's comfort first when it comes to underwear. It should not cause any irritation or harm her health. Military personnel have specific requests for their underwear, including comfort during long periods of wear, absence of accessories and seams, and double linings in certain areas, among others," the brand's Underwear Laboratory reports. "It was a challenge to meet all these needs in underwear, taking into account the lack of international experience, and it seems that we succeeded."

More than 100 military servicewomen have completed the brand's survey, providing enough data to begin producing underwear for the number of female soldiers on the front lines.

"Such initiatives are about respect for female soldiers. Women today are a powerful part of the army. They deserve top-notch uniforms, well-fitting body armor, and tactical underwear, just like their male counterparts. Our ArmWomenNow team works tirelessly to carry out various projects to support and assist our female defenders. As a team, we understand the crucial role of comfort when it comes to wearing gear for extended periods, especially underwear. Therefore, we are delighted to be a part of the "One for One" campaign and contribute towards the well-being of the soldiers who bravely protect us each day," the founder of ArmWomenNow, Iryna Nikorak, comments.

Based on the test results, the top of the set got the highest score, but the panties will need some improvement.

To help expedite the distribution of women's underwear with comfortable bottoms, the team launched a fundraiser open to individuals and businesses in Ukraine.

The fundraiser aims to raise UAH 5,860,000. Each set, which includes braces and two pairs of panties, costs UAH 586, and we hope to sell 10,000 sets. The brabrabra team will cover expenses for packaging, panty testing, and logistics.

"All our organization's efforts in this phase of the war are aimed at meeting the urgent needs of female military personnel, from drones to armored cars, but thanks to the brabrabra brand, we also remembered how important comfort and convenience are in difficult conditions. We are grateful that together we were able to hand over to our sisters at the front part of care," the head of the Veteranka Movement, Kateryna Pryimak, comments on the cooperation.

The campaign received backing from famous Ukrainian women like Olha Rudneva, Olena Kravets, Dariia Kvitkova, Nadiia Matveeva, and Ukrainian brands Leglo, Karpatia, and Arena Cs.
