Russian attack at night damages critical infrastructure and destroys historical monument in Kharkiv region
On the night of May 30, the Russians launched an attack on a crucial infrastructure facility in one of Kharkiv's districts. Additionally, they destroyed the Kharkiv Veterinary Institute's arena with rockets in the village of Mala Danylivka, located in the Kharkiv region.
The Kharkiv Mayor, Ihor Terekhov, and the head of the Mala Danylivka community, Oleksandr Hololobov, reported that on Telegram.
Kharkiv
During the night, Kharkiv and the surrounding area were rocked by a series of explosions caused by Russian airstrikes. This occurred while an air alert was in place in Kharkiv and several other regions.
According to a later report from the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, the Russian invaders launched at least five attacks that night, with some targeting populated areas in the Kharkiv district.
The mayor's office noted that the data on possible victims due to the shelling is currently being clarified.
"There was an attack on the critical infrastructure of one of the city's districts. Information about the victims is being clarified," Terekhov said.
Subsequently, the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration head, Oleh Synehubov, noted in his Telegram at 02:50 that "at this moment, there are no casualties."
"Information about the destruction is being clarified," the official added.
But later, he said that according to updated information, there are victims.
"Two people received shrapnel wounds; one suffered an acute reaction to stress. The windows of residential buildings were damaged, and a fire broke out at the gas infrastructure facility," the head of the regional military administration said.
Mayor Terekhov clarified that a fire had broken out at the strike location in Kharkiv. Furthermore, the gas pipeline had been disrupted.
"Nearby houses were also damaged – we see many broken windows. There will be a house-to-house inspection in the morning, and we will find out more. All relevant services and volunteers are working on the spot," he wrote.
The mayor of Kharkiv later updated the data and reported that four people were injured in the nighttime rocket attack.
"As a result of the night flight, we have four victims," he wrote in Telegram at 03:52.
Mala Danylivka, Kharkiv region
On the night of May 30, around 2:00 a.m., the aggressor attacked with five S-300 air defense missiles the infrastructure objects, and the residential area of the Mala Danylivka community in the Kharkiv region.
A residential area, some stores, a healthcare facility, a library, and a sports academy were impacted. Over 100 apartments were left without windows.
According to Oleksandr Hololobov, head of the Mala Danylivka community of the Kharkiv region, there were at least four explosions in the community.
The Russian invaders also destroyed the arena of the Kharkiv Veterinary Institute with rockets.
"The war with horses, goats, pigs, rabbits and cows. A historical monument, a place where sports masters forged, children studied, and residents rested, has been completely destroyed," he wrote.
Hololobov also released a video of the consequences of the hits. The footage shows that the rocket attack was carried out on the arena of the Kharkiv Veterinary Institute.

In total, the Russian army fired eight missiles from the territory of Belgorod over Kharkiv and the region. As a result of shelling in the city, four people were injured.
Moreover, that night, the aggressor launched cruise missiles from Tu-95 bombers from the Engels area. All the rockets were aimed at the district of the city of Starokostiantyniv, Khmelnytskyi region.
It is important to mention that search operations in Kharkiv were carried out after the Russian attack on the "Epicenter" hypermarket. The police were able to identify all 19 deceased individuals.
