Assistance was recently delivered as part of the energy sector partnership between Ukraine and Germany under the guidance of the Ukrainian Ministry of Energy. This included three large power transformers, each with a capacity of 40,000 kVA, power distribution network nodes, and 16 pieces of specialized equipment.

The Ministry of Energy reports this.

"Russia continues to purposefully destroy our energy infrastructure, shelling energy facilities throughout the country.   With the help of the equipment provided by our German partners, we can restore the damage more quickly. We thank Germany for this support and our constant effective cooperation," said the Minister of Energy of Ukraine, Herman Halushchenko.

Some of the transferred equipment has already been delivered to Ukraine. Specifically, Kharkivoblenergo JSC has added four Mercedes-Benz Arocs trucks with a manipulator crane to their fleet. Additionally, two vehicles were given to employees at Mykolayivoblenergo JSC and one to specialists at Ternopiloblenergo JSC. More trucks will soon be brought to the regions of Cherkasy, Khmelnytskyi, and Zaporizhzhia, and additional specialized equipment will be delivered to Kharkiv and Mykolaiv.

The received cars are necessary for the prompt execution of emergency and capital repairs in the electrical networks of regional energy companies.

Other equipment, particularly transformers, is currently being delivered to Ukraine.

The Ministry of Energy announced that, beginning in 2023, Ukraine will receive aid from Germany as part of the Ukrainian-German energy partnership to rebuild its energy sector following Russia's attacks. This aid, including a 12 million euro package from the German Federal Ministry of Economy and Climate Protection, will be used to purchase technical equipment supporting the Ukrainian energy system.

For reference:

Since 2022, Ukraine has received 120 humanitarian aid shipments from Germany weighing more than 1,670 tons, including transformers, generators, cables, fittings for overhead lines, and other equipment for restoration work. In addition, Germany is the largest donor to the Energy Support Fund, contributing 225 million euros.
