Ukrainian soldiers and special service operatives attacked the military airport "Kuschevska" and the Slavyansky oil refinery overnight on May 19.

Hromadske reports, citing a source in Ukraine's security service, that both facilities are located in the Krasnodar Krai of Russia.

The source confirmed dozens of different jets, which were attacking Ukrainian positions on the front, were located at the targeted military airfield: Su-34, Su-25, Su-27, and MiG-29.

The source claims that the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) and the Ukrainian Armed Forces' Unmanned Systems Division jointly carried out the operation.

The oil refinery in the city of Slavyansk-na-Kubani was attacked, and after several strikes, it ceased operations. The Russians are currently assessing the damages.

Night attack on the Krasnodar Krai

Earlier, Russia reported an attack by strike drones and missiles on several regions of Russia: strikes occurred at an oil refinery in the Krasnodar Krai, followed by powerful explosions and fires. In the village of Kuschevska in the Krasnodar Krai, a military airfield was also attacked by drones.

The regional operational headquarters reported that drones attempted to attack facilities in the Slavyansky and Kuschevska districts overnight. In the latter, after one of the drones crashed, a local fire broke out, supposedly without affecting residential areas.

At the same time, according to their statements, one of the drones crashed in Slavyansk-na-Kubani on the oil refinery's territory. According to preliminary information, no casualties or damage were reported, and no fires were detected either.

The "Krasnodar Krai operational headquarters" reported they "neutralized" at least ten drones.

According to the publication, drones did indeed attack the local military airfield in the Kuschevska district. The operational headquarters did not confirm this, but they stated that there was a "local fire."

This is the second drone attack by the SBU on the military airfield "Kuschevska" and the Slavyansky oil refinery in the last three weeks. Last time, several aircraft were reportedly hit at the airport, and at the oil refinery, strikes were made on the rectification and atmospheric columns.
