Russian shelling in Kharkiv leaves 21 victims, including three children

On the evening of May 14, in Kharkiv, 21 people, including three children, were injured to varying degrees due to enemy shelling.

The National Police of Ukraine and the head of the regional military administration, Oleh Synehubov, report this.

According to law enforcement officers, at approximately 4:10 p.m. on May 14, Russian troops shelled the Shevchenkivsky district of Kharkiv.

"The enemy launched four UMPB D-30 SN aerial bombs, damaging multiple residential buildings, 15 garages, and a single-story non-residential building.

As a result of the attack, 21 civilians were injured, including three children," the police said.

The police also mentioned that at approximately 5:55 p.m., the occupiers carried out another assault on the city. As a result, a strike was reported in the Saltivsky district.

"Also, an unexploded 5V55 missile was found – an S-300 complex rocket that fell between two parked cars on the territory of the house. There were no casualties," the law enforcement officers said.

As of 10:55 p.m., explosions were again heard in Kharkiv.

It should be noted that on May 14, explosions rang out in Kharkiv. Before that, the Air Force of Ukraine's armed forces warned about the launch of Russian-guided aerial bombs in the direction of the Kharkiv region.

Later, it was reported that the Russian occupiers carried out seven airstrikes on Kharkiv, and the number of victims increased to 18 people.

"A 12-year-old girl was injured and is currently in moderate condition. In addition, a 61-year-old woman and a 73-year-old man sustained injuries to their lungs," Synehubov said.

As noted in the State Emergency Service, the Russians targeted the residential areas of Kharkiv with missiles and aerial bombs.

An aircraft munition damaged the 20th floor of a residential building. Fires also started in the garage cooperative, covering an area of 80 square meters, and the grass caught fire.
