Russian troops seize additional villages and approach Vovchansk in Kharkiv region – Deep State

The enemy is pressing forward with their offensive operation in the Kharkiv region. Russian forces have taken control of additional villages and are moving closer to the city of Vovchansk.

The enemy has taken control of the Morokhovets-Oliynikove-Zelene settlements near the village of Lyptsi and is advancing towards the village.

Combat is ongoing in Lukiantsi village, which the enemy almost wholly occupied. The Russians are attempting to establish a presence in Hlyboke and advance through infantry.

However, the Russian invaders are constantly facing heavy attacks, especially from the Defense Forces' FPV drones, which makes their movements significantly restricted. Regrettably, this does not hinder their progress.

In addition, the enemy continues to approach Vovchansk, entrenching itself on the outskirts for further entry into the city. Defense forces met the Russians with fire and tried to contain the onslaught. The city is under heavy shelling, and the evacuation of the civilian population is ongoing.

"The Russians have focused on gaining a foothold on the existing lines for further advancement. Damage from the Defense Forces complicates movement, and the enemy regroups in some places and has focused more attention on shelling populated areas, thereby using the opportunity to establish additional reserves," the message says.

In general, the occupiers are carrying out assault actions on five fronts:

• Strilecha – Hlyboke,
• Oliynikove – Hlyboke,
• Olynikove – Lukyantsi,
• Murom – Starytsa,
• Pletenivka – Tykhe.

According to the General Staff's report, the enemy launched 22 attacks on these fronts throughout the day, 14 of which are still ongoing.

"Battles are being fought for the border town of Vovchansk. The enemy has used significant forces to attack the town, consisting of up to 5 battalions, and does not count its own losses," the military command said in a statement.

Moreover, the General Staff clarified that the occupiers were losing over 100 soldiers each day simply through being killed on this front.

At the same time, it is indicated that the enemy has now had tactical success.

"We have devised strategies to eliminate the enemy, as they have infiltrated our defenses. Our defenders engage in defensive maneuvers, causing significant harm to the enemy through gunfire. We are also extensively using unmanned systems to gather intelligence and execute precise attacks to inflict maximum casualties," the General Staff said.

It is noted that the deployment of reserves "to stabilize the situation" is also underway.

The General Staff added that one of the main priorities in determining the tasks of the troops is the preservation of the lives of the Defense Forces soldiers.

According to the Ministry of Defense, on May 10, the occupiers intensified shelling in the northern direction of the Kharkiv region. Around 5 a.m., the enemy attempted to break through the defense line under the cover of armored vehicles. Reserve units have been sent to strengthen the defense on this part of the front.

As of the evening of May 10, Zelensky reported that heavy fighting is ongoing along the entire contact line, especially in the Kharkiv, Pokrovsk, and Donetsk regions.

Later, the General Staff added that fighting continues between the Defense Forces and the occupiers in the Kharkiv region for Strilecha, Pylna, Borysivka, Oliynikove, and Ohirtseve. Counterattacks are also continuing in the Lyptsi and Vovchansk areas.

On the morning of May 12, the National Guard unit " Hostri Kartuzy"  ["Peaky Blinders" – ed.] reported that the Ukrainian military had withdrawn from some positions. DeepState analysts said that the invaders advanced near Krasnohorivka and Volodymyrivka, occupying several villages in the north of the region.

The Ukrainian Ministry of Defense announced that they knew the enemy's plans and had thoroughly prepared for their attack.
