In Ukraine, the FLYTECH company presented the ARES reconnaissance drone.

"Militarnyi" reports this.

What is the problem?

In the words of Dmytro Klimenkov, Deputy Minister of Defense for Ukraine, speed and precision are crucial for success in contemporary warfare. As a result, drones have become essential assistants for the Ukrainian military. The army enhances its agility, mobility, and efficacy by utilizing drones, rendering it better equipped to confront any obstacles.

What is the solution?

The Ukrainian company FLYTECH presented the ARES reconnaissance drone.

How does it work?

The domestic UAV, named after the god of war Ares, is already being used by the Ukrainian military on the front lines.

According to the developers, ARES is an unmanned aerial vehicle designed for operational and tactical levels. It boasts the following features:

  • a flight duration of up to 150 minutes;
  • a communication range of 50 kilometers;
  • a quick deployment time of only 15 minutes for the complex.

ARES can be launched manually, and landing is carried out using a remote control.

The drone has the capability for multi-channel communication. This allows it to switch to alternative channels without losing control if the enemy uses EW devices to jam one of the frequencies.

FLYTECH said that at first, UAVs were used only to meet the needs of a specific brigade. However, after ARES was used on the battlefield, they decided to launch mass production, which was established in less than six months.

It should be mentioned that ARES is relatively simple to fix and does not involve a lengthy production process, resulting in a lower cost for UAVs in comparison to similar models. However, the company has not disclosed the specific price.

Various charitable organizations and volunteer initiatives for the Ukrainian military purchase ARES UAV complexes.

FLYTECH plans to present the ARES 2 drone soon, which will be equipped with a new communication system and an improved camera.

The company is also working on the ARES 3 kamikaze UAV, which will have a combat radius of 30-40 kilometers.

For reference:

As previously reported, a plastic container manufacturer from the Kharkiv region organized the production of long-range UAVs. Several dozen workers in a hangar in western Ukraine assemble drones, which are used to strike in the distant Russian rear.

Moreover, the "Defense Procurement Agency" of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine concluded contracts for the supply of 3,000 DJI Mavic 3E and 1,000 DJI Mavic 3T drones with additional equipment based on the results of the Prozorro bidding.
