Solutions from Ukraine: “Ukrposhta” and veteran business team up to create revolutionary new vehicle for postmen

At the request of JSC "Ukrposhta," domestic manufacturers have created a prototype of a new vehicle for postal workers.

"Ukrposhta" General Director Ihor Smilyanskyi reported this on Telegram.

"As e-commerce expands and medicine delivery advances, postmen now have fewer newspapers and letters to deliver (as they are already available through "Diia"), but more parcels. This makes bicycles less necessary for their work," the report says.

What is the solution?

Therefore, domestic manufacturers have created a prototype of a new vehicle specifically for postmen at the request of JSC "Ukrposhta" [Ukraine's national postal service – ed.]

"Partnering with a veteran Ukrainian manufacturer, we have developed a pilot model for postmen that we are now beginning to test," said the general director of Ukrposhta.

How does it work?

Smiliansky personally tried out the new transportation and assured that all purchases will be conducted through Prozorro [the official site of state public procurement – ed.].

He also announced that in the coming weeks, a prototype of a mobile wagon will be sent to the combat region for testing. This wagon will be able to replace a full-fledged branch of Ukrposhta in the event of the latter's destruction.

"We already understand that the enemy will continue to try to destroy the infrastructure, but Ukrposhta must continue its work and do it in such a way as to preserve the lives of both employees and customers. Therefore, we are working on having such mobile inclusive wagons that can be placed in a safe city and replace the damaged department in one day," Smilianskyi said.

The project "Ukrposhta. Pharmacy" has recently commenced in the Donetsk region and some border areas of Sumy.

This pilot program has expanded to include not only Donetsk but also Zaporizhzhia, Mykolaiv, Kharkiv, Kherson, Chernihiv, and Sumy to offer essential medications to Ukrainians.
