Ukrainian stand opens at International Book Fair in Buenos Aires
The official opening of the Ukrainian national stand took place within the framework of the 48th International Book Fair in Buenos Aires.
As reported by Rubryka, the Embassy of Ukraine in Argentina announced this on Facebook.
Addressing the guests, Ambassador Yurii Klymenko noted that the presence of Ukraine at such a prestigious international event is an excellent opportunity to once again demonstrate to Latin America the richness of the Ukrainian language, literature, culture and traditions.
Ambassador Klymenko thanked the representatives of the Ukrainian community in Argentina, in particular, the Ukrainian Central Representation, its head, Dr. Pedro Lylyk, his deputy, Maria Zinko, and especially Ania Maria Livsha, and everyone involved in the creation and operation of the Ukrainian stand, for their persistent efforts to ensure Ukraine's participation in this, one of the most important cultural events of the region.
Also, during the 48th International Book Fair in Buenos Aires, the following events dedicated to Ukraine will take place:
- April 28 at 4:00 p.m. – book presentation: "The Return of Ukraine: About the State and National Identity" by Paul Robert Magochy and "Solomia Krushelnytska: the Ukrainian who conquered the heart of Argentina" by Roksolana Hnatiuk;
- May 4 at 4:30 p.m. – an event for children "Explore Ukrainian culture through children's eyes";
- May 10 at 4:00 p.m. – conference on "Culture as a symbol of resistance and stability in Ukraine";
- May 12 at 17:30 – "Day of Ukraine".
