Solutions from Ukraine: new map shows internet providers' coverage during blackouts
The online map lets Ukrainians quickly locate Internet providers that operate during blackouts.

What is the problem?
It is worth mentioning that the Ukrainian energy infrastructure suffered a significant loss of electricity generation due to the Russian attacks.
"Unfortunately, there is no doubt that they [Russian strikes — ed.] will continue. Of course, the left-bank part of Ukraine is more vulnerable for several reasons," said Energy Minister Herman Halushchenko.
What is the solution?
As a result, an interactive map of Internet providers was developed in Ukraine, enabling individuals to verify if they will have Internet access during a blackout.
How does it work?
The map indicates which households have access to the Internet during power outages based on their service provider. Providers with fiber optic technology can offer Internet access for 4 to 72 hours during blackouts.
Initially, the map was available for providers in Kyiv as well as in the Kyiv, Lviv, and Odesa regions, but now, it is available for all of Ukraine.
"One major benefit of this map is the ability for users to see the evaluations of other users regarding the stability of the internet during power outages within a designated timeframe set by the provider. I suggest reading these reviews and adding your own to ensure only reliable information is displayed on the map," Fedorov noted.
Service providers can be listed on the online map. To do so, they should send an email to misto@lun.ua with the subject line "Standing Ukraine."
