US weapons for Ukraine already in German and Polish warehouses – CNN

Much of the weapons from the United States to Ukraine from the new package are already in warehouses in Germany and Poland to speed up delivery after Congress approves the new law.

The CNN channel reported this with reference to a source.

According to the interlocutor, Ukrainian fighters will receive artillery shells as one of the first items.

According to CNN, officials will try to get the weapons to where they are needed as quickly as possible after crossing the border. However, this would still pose a significant logistical problem given the vast number of weapons.

Therefore, the channel's material says that even with the quick approval of the new aid package, the Russian Federation's current advantage will not be eliminated immediately.

On April 20, the US House of Representatives approved a draft law on financing aid to Ukraine. Even before the end of voting, the required number of votes was collected for the draft law. 310 congressmen voted for the draft law, while 112 voted against it.

The "Ukrainian" package allocates approximately $61 billion in aid to Ukraine and its allies, as well as restocking the US military. Additionally, it includes a provision for the administration to provide long-range ATACMS missiles to Kyiv.

The President of the United States called on the Senate to approve the bill on aid to Ukraine as soon as possible.

Subsequently, the majority leader in the Senate, Democrat Chuck Schumer, announced that on Tuesday, April 23, the Senate of the United States of America will consider the bill on aid to Ukraine, which the House of Representatives finally approved on April 20.

It should be added that for the document to become law, it must be voted on by both houses of Congress and signed by the US president.
