Russian attack on Kostiantynivka claims three lives: rescue team finds woman and child dead under rubble

The death toll from the Russian attack on Kostiantynivka, located in the Donetsk region, rose to three. On the morning of April 10, rescuers retrieved the bodies of a woman and a child from under the rubble of a house.

The State Emergency Service reports that on Facebook.

"This morning, emergency workers removed the bodies of a woman born in 1981 and a boy born in 2011 from under the rubble. Emergency rescue operations have been completed," the rescuers emphasize.

The service also pointed out that on April 9, the Russian invaders targeted a two-story building in the city of Kostiantynivka. The house sustained considerable damage when an aerial bomb struck it.

At that moment, news came in that the fire caused by construction debris had been put out, and the body of a man born in 1964 had been recovered. Two neighboring homes also sustained injuries, with a 90-year-old and 70-year-old being hurt.

The 70-year-old's daughter, who was visiting at the time, and her 12-year-old son were likely trapped under the debris.

According to the local authorities, as of the morning of April 10, the operational situation in the region was as follows:

• In the Pokrovsky district, three injuries were reported in Krasnohorivka, and one injury was reported in the Sokol, Ocheretynska community. Vovchenka, Hanivka, Veselyi Hay, and Kurakhove were all targeted by gunfire in the Kurakhiv community.
• In the Kramatorsk district, the towns of Zarichne, Nove, and Terny were hit with gunfire in the Lymansk community. In Kostyantynivka, there was one fatality and two injuries reported, and significant damages were recorded to 27 private houses, ten high-rise buildings, four shops, two infrastructure facilities, and two social institutions. In Sloviansk, three injuries were reported.
• Finally, in the Bakhmut district, one infrastructure facility was damaged in New York. In the Chasivyar community, 11 private houses and one high-rise building were damaged. In Siversk, three houses and one non-residential building were damaged.

"In just one day, the Russians shelled populated areas of the Donetsk region 14 times. 259 people, including 23 children, were evacuated from the front line," Vadym Filashkin, head of the Donetsk Regional State Administration, said.
