Solutions to win: Nova Poshta to provide used automobile tires to Ukraine’s armed forces for combat and emergency needs

"Nova Poshta," a Ukrainian postal service,  launches the Tires Go Into Battle project. As part of this project, the company will deliver used car tires to Ukraine's armed forces at its own expense.

What is the problem?

As the seasons change, car owners tend to stress where to store their used tires.

At the same time, the Ukrainian military requires thousands of tires daily for various purposes, including:

• combat operations,
• evacuation,
• replacing transport damaged by shelling.

What is the solution?

Nova Poshta is inviting drivers to participate in the "Tires Go Into Battle" social campaign: anyone can send their used tires to soldiers on the front line.

The postal service will cover the cost of delivering tires, while the "Zampotech" fund will equip military vehicles with the tires directly on the front line.

To facilitate this, four mobile workshops have been established in the active combat zone, where the "Zampotech" fund will install these tires for military vehicles.

How does it work?

To participate in the social campaign "Tires Go Into Battle," one will need to obtain a promo code for free shipping through the chatbot. Nova Poshta will cover the delivery costs of the tires.

What tires are needed?

Size:

• 16 inches in diameter;
• 15 or 17 inches in diameter;
• 18 or 20 inches in diameter (only in excellent condition).

Tire profile:

• Not low-profile – must have a minimum height of 60 and above;
• The wider and taller, the better.

Tire tread pattern:

• For winter use;
• For use in muddy or swampy conditions;
• With either an all-terrain (AT) or mud-terrain (MT) marking.

Condition:

• Free of any damage;
• Tread must not be worn down (not "bald");
• At least 50% of the tread remaining.

Currently, the project has distributed 2,000 tires among separate brigades of the Ukrainian army. However, considering the ongoing level of hostilities, this quantity will only last for approximately one month.
