Rebuilding Ukraine: over 114,000 Ukrainians join "Army of Recovery" initiative
As of April 8, 2024, 114,105,000 unemployed individuals had participated in socially beneficial projects through the "Army of Recovery" initiative, with UAH 772 million in wages funded.
The State Employment Service reported that on Telegram.
As reported, the types of socially beneficial projects vary depending on the needs of a particular region. The military authorities, along with the military administrations:
- determine the necessary jobs for the region,
- communicates this information to the employment service, which then allows the unemployed to participate in such work.
A fixed-term employment contract is concluded with these people for the work period. From April 1, 2024, the salary for performing socially useful work has increased to UAH 12,000.

According to the institution, according to the published data, as of April 8, 2024, starting from October 1, 2022, the State Employment Service issued 114,105 referrals for the performance of socially valuable works, the most – in the Kharkiv region (21,684 referrals).
Among the regions with the largest number of unemployed are:
- Donetsk region(13,897 referrals),
- Kyiv region (13,279),
- Poltava region (12,691),
- Chernihiv region(12,287).
- In total, 19 regions joined the "Army of Recovery" project.
UAH 772 million has already been sent to pay wages for participation in the government project "Army of Recovery."

For over two years now, Russia has been causing casualties and destroying buildings in Ukraine, and for nearly a year, the government has been providing compensation to those whose homes were affected. Despite the relatively simple application process, almost half of the requests are denied.
