Russian forces deployed over 400 missiles, 600 Shahed drones, and 3,000 guided aerial bombs on Ukraine in March alone – Zelensky
Only in March of 2024, the Russian invaders used more than 400 missiles of various types, more than 600 Shahed attack drones, and more than 3,000 guided aerial bombs against Ukraine.
The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, reported that on Facebook.
As the leader of the country stated, in March alone, the Russian invaders launched over 400 missiles of different kinds, as well as more than 600 Shaheds and over 3,000 guided air bombs on Ukraine.
"This terror is wreaking havoc on cities and villages throughout Ukraine, and Russia is particularly relentless in bombarding frontline and border areas," Zelensky emphasized.
As the president stressed, Kharkiv, which has more than a million people, has been hit by missiles and drones since the first day of the full-scale war.
"Recently, Russian terrorists also began to use aerial bombs against Kharkiv. The city sees daily humiliation and pain, as well as daily losses. Critical infrastructure has been destroyed, and ordinary residential buildings are being demolished on a daily basis," Zelensky emphasized.
The President believes this will not happen when Ukraine receives reliable air defense systems that can save people's lives and restore safety to Ukrainian cities.
"'Patriots' in the hands of Ukrainians have demonstrated that all forms of Russian terror can be defeated. This is what our Kharkiv, as well as all of our cities and communities, require right now, as Russian strikes threaten their lives," the head of state emphasized.
It's worth mentioning that since the start of the year, the enemy has deployed over 180 destructive weapons toward Kyiv, including five "Tsirkon" missiles, 11 "Kinzhal" missiles, and 113 Kh-101 missiles.
For reference:
It should be noted that in March, the Russian military targeted the generation and distribution facilities of DTEK [Ukraine's largest private investor in the energy industry – ed.] at least 10 times, damaging about 80% of the installed capacity.
Thus, on the night of March 29, 60 kamikaze drones and 39 missiles of various types were launched into Ukraine. Air defense managed to destroy 56 drones and 29 missiles. The enemy's main attack was aimed at energy facilities. It is known that the Russians attacked three thermal power plants in Ukraine, and the equipment was seriously damaged as a result of the attack.
Also, on March 22, the enemy launched more than 150 drones and missiles of various types over Ukraine. Air defense forces shot down 55 Shaheds and 37 missiles. Then, the enemy also hit Kharkiv with ballistic missiles. At least 15 explosions rang out in the city. The light disappeared, and fires broke out at the landing site.
In addition, on the evening of March 30, the Russian occupying forces launched the Shahed attack drones, and already on the morning of March 31, they used cruise missiles to attack Ukraine.
