European Aquatics names Ukrainian diver Sereda 2023's best athlete

According to European Aquatics, Ukrainian diver Oleksiy Sereda became the best diving athlete in Europe in 2023.
The European Swimming League, which conducted the voting, announced this.
As reported, Sereda received the most significant number of votes in all categories:
- swimming,
- jumping into the water,
- synchronized swimming.
Last year, an 18-year-old Ukrainian won gold:
- in the individual category,
- in team competitions of the European Games.
At the world championship in synchronized jumping, held in Fukuoka, Japan, Oleksiy took second place.
Additionally, it should be mentioned that Sereda has now ranked among the top water divers in Europe for the second consecutive time. In 2022, he secured second place.
At the beginning of 2024, the native of Mykolaiv continued to set achievements. At the World Championships in water sports in Doha, Oleksiy won a historic bronze medal, losing only to representatives of China.

It's worth mentioning that Yehor Yarmolyuk, the midfielder for Ukraine's youth national team, received an individual short film award while playing for Brentford in England.
