1,269 children have been injured in two years of all-out war – Ukraine's juvenile prosecutors
Since the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion, nearly 1806 children have been affected, including 537 killed minors.
Over 1,200 children have been injured of varying severity, juvenile prosecutors report.
Ukrainian children's rights ombudsman says these figures are not final, as work is underway to establish them in the areas of active hostilities, in the occupied and liberated territories.
Ukraine has a list of cases of the most affected children:
Donetsk region – 524,
Kharkiv region – 343,
Kyiv region – 130,
Mykolaiv region – 103,
Chernihiv region – 72,
Luhansk region – 67,
Kherson region – 149,
Zaporizhzhia region – 100,
Dnipropetrovska region – 125.
Recent cases of crimes against children:
On March 14, a 7-year-old boy was injured in the Russian army in Nikopol;
On March 14, a 7-year-old boy was injured in the shelling of the village of Mazurivka, Vinnytsia region.
On March 27, a 12-year-old boy died in the Russian shelling of Borova village in the Kharkiv region. Four more children aged three months to thirteen years were injured in the hostile shelling of Kharkiv.
On March 25, a 16-year-old girl was injured in an air attack on Kyiv.
Ukrainian children's ombudsman Dmytro Lubinets confirmed the deportation of more than 19,500 children to Russia and occupied territories.
