On March 28, Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelensky spoke with Speaker of the House Mike Johnson, urging US allies to send military aid.

The US House of Representatives has not yet supported a bill to provide Ukraine with vital military aid because Speaker Mike Johnson has refused to vote.

Zelensky had a "serious" conversation with the Speaker about the difficult situation on the battlefield and the rapid intensification of Russian air terror.

In the past week alone, Ukrainian cities have been hit with 190 missiles, 140 Iranian-made, and 700 guided bombs.

Russian forces have attempted to repeat the environmental disaster by destroying the Dnipro hydroelectric power plant. In these circumstances, the fastest possible passage of aid to Ukraine by Congress is vital.

"In this situation, the quick approval of aid for Ukraine by the Congress is critically important. We realize that there are different positions in the House of Representatives on how to do this, but the main thing is that the issue of assistance to Ukraine remains a factor of unity."

The officials discussed the need to cut off the sources from which Russia finances its war as soon as possible and to use frozen assets for the benefit of Ukraine.

The US has been unable to approve new funding for assistance to Ukraine for several months, so the supply of weapons has been suspended.

On February 13, the US Senate approved a bill to provide $95 billion in aid to Ukraine, Israel, and Taiwan, while over $60 billion is provided for Ukraine.

Part of the US Republican Party and House Speaker Mike Johnson began to develop their own version of the aid package for Ukraine.

US President Joe Biden's budget request for fiscal year 2025 includes $1.5 billion to counter the Kremlin's aggression, including $482 million for Ukraine.
