Russian military jet crashes near Sevastopol in Crimea
A Russian Su-35 military plane crashed into the Black Sea near the occupied Sevastopol, as locals report that the Russian air defense system downed it.
The city's governor, Mikhail Razvozhayev, reported first about the jet crash.
"A military aircraft crashed into the sea near Sevastopol. Civilian objects were not damaged. The pilot ejected. He was picked up by rescuers at a distance of two hundred meters from the shore. His life is not in danger."
The Ukrainian Air Force reported the destruction of 14 Russian aircraft in February-March.
On February 23, the Air Force reported that a Russian A-50 aircraft was shot down over the Azov Sea.
According to the General Staff, since the beginning of the full-scale war, the Ukrainian military has destroyed a total of 346 Russian aircraft.
