Rubryka reports from the scene of Russian rocket attack on Kyiv: rescuers dismantling the rubble of destroyed building

Russia attacked the Ukrainian capital for the third time in the last five days, using ballistic missiles.

Debris from the downed rocket destroyed a building in the Pecherskyi city district. First responders are clearing out the rubble. Rubryka correspondent Mykola Tymchenko visited the scene.

Ukraine's Ministry of Internal Affairs reported that the Russian attack resulted in debris falling in the Solomianskyi and Darnytskyi districts of the capital. According to Ukraine's State Emergency Service of, a private house was damaged in the latter.

Rescuers added that debris fell preliminarily, with no casualties, in the Holosiivskyi, Dniprovskyi, and Solomianskyi districts. Emergency services are currently inspecting the areas.

"Debris from the missile was found in the forest line in the Holosiivskyi district," the department said.

Kyiv Mayor Vitalii Klychko reported:

"Today's enemy attack, thank God, did not hit high-rise residential buildings. There are currently no fatalities. Rescuers have continued clearing the debris of the collapsed three-story building, which was one of the premises (for sports purposes) of a state educational institution. Windows were damaged in neighboring residential buildings. Currently, there are five casualties. Two of them are in the hospital."

Rocket strike on Kyiv

An air raid alert was announced in some regions of Ukraine, including Kyiv and the region, around 10:30 on March 25. The Air Force warned of the ballistic threat. Almost immediately, explosions were heard in Kyiv.

Debris from missiles fell in several districts of the capital, damaging a multi-story building in the Pecherskyi district. Five casualties are confirmed.

Later, it became known that Russia struck Kyiv with two ballistic missiles launched from the occupied territory of Crimea. They were downed by air defense.
