While Congress drags its feet, Putin uses every minute to attack Ukraine – US security advisor
The White House has condemned the latest massive Russian missile attack on Ukraine and stated that Putin is trying to use every day to target civilian Ukrainians.
The following statement was said by John Kirby, US security advisor.
"This once again demonstrates how important it is to continue to provide Ukraine with the air defense systems, interceptor missiles, and tools necessary to protect people and infrastructure."
Kirby said that as long as Ukraine remains without defense aid, Putin "is not sitting idly by."
"He is using every minute available to him for his deadly intentions, while our Congress refuses to act. He is not wavering, and neither should we."
The White House adviser once again called on the House of Representatives to pass a bill with additional funding for national security needs as soon as possible to provide Ukraine with vital weapons.
"And as we have seen in the last two days alone, every day of delays in the House is another day that Ukrainians have to pay for with their own blood."
On the night of March 22, the enemy fired more than 150 drones and missiles of various types at Ukraine. Air defense forces shot down 55 Shaheds and 37 missiles.
Critical infrastructure facilities were hit in a number of cities, causing casualties.
