Russia launches ballistic rockets at Ukrainian city of Mykolaiv
Loud explosions were heard in Mykolaiv. Residents were warned about Russian ballistic activity, according to Mykolaiv Mayor Oleksandr Sienkevych, Rubryka reports.
"A loud explosion in the city. Ballistics. Mykolaiv residents, please refrain from taking photos. We will provide information later," Sienkevych wrote.
Vitalii Kim, the head of the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration, added, "We see everything. We are working."
No further details of the situation are disclosed, but there is information about a casualty.
An air alarm was declared in Mykolaiv and Kherson regions from 14:29 to 14:43. The Air Force warned of the threat of ballistic weapon use from the south.
March 21 rocket strike on Ukraine
Russian forces launched a massive attack on Ukraine on the night of March 21, using 31 missiles, two of which were ballistic, including the "Iskander" (KN-23) and "Kinzhal."
Despite all of them being successfully downed, debris from targets fell in several districts of Kyiv, injuring 13 people. The Russians carried out the missile strike after a 44-day pause.
The Russian rocket attack damaged six educational institutions in the Ukrainian capital. The St. Nicholas Church also suffered damage.

Since the beginning of March 2024, Russian troops have launched 130 missiles of various types, over 320 "Shahed" drones, and nearly 900 guided bombs on Ukraine.
