Ukraine and Estonia begin talks on bilateral security agreement

According to the G7 Joint Declaration on Supporting Ukraine, discussions have commenced with Estonia to finalize a security agreement between the two nations.

"It is important to conclude strong security agreements with all the Baltic countries, which provide us with enormous assistance relative to their GDP. Since Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania also border the aggressor, our security obligations should definitely be mutual," Ihor Zhovkva emphasized.

The parties started work on the draft agreement and agreed on a schedule for further negotiations.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky met with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, who was visiting Ukraine. During the meeting, the leaders signed the Agreement on Security Cooperation between Ukraine and Canada.

According to Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal, about 30 countries are ready to sign security agreements with Ukraine similar to the British one.
