Ukrainian drones attack two oil refineries in Russia’s Samara

On the morning of March 16, Ukrainian drones attacked two oil refineries in Russian Samara region.

The Syzran and the Novokuibyshevsk refineries caught huge fire, local authorities report.

The attack was confirmed to RIA Novosti propagandists by Samara Region Governor Dmitriy Azarov.

"Drones attacked the Syzran and Novokuibyshevsk refineries in Samara region, a fire broke out at a refinery, no one was injured, the governor of the region said."

According to the Baza Telegram channel, a drone attacked the territory of a plant in Syzran, as a fire broke out at the plant, which covers an area of 500 square meters.

The Syzran refinery, owned by Rosneft and owned by Igor Sechin, a friend and one of the closest advisers to Russian President Vladimir Putin, was also under attack.

The capacity of the Syzran refinery is 8.9 million tons of oil per year.

The plant produces a wide range of petroleum products, including high-quality motor fuel, aviation kerosene, and bitumen.

Simultaneously with the attack on the Syzran plant, several drones attacked the Novokuibyshevsk refinery, owned by Rosneft.

The refinery's capacity is 8.8 million tons of oil per year. This enterprise produces fuel for all types of transportation.

On March 13, Ukrainian drones attacked the Novoshakhtyn Oil Products Plant in Rostov Region, and the plant's operations were shut down.
