Meanwhile, on social media, footage of a likely strike on the Kaluga Oil Refinery is being circulated. The Russian Telegram channel ASTRA reports that three drones hit the oil processing equipment at the "First Plant" oil refinery in the town of Polotnyanyi Zavod.
"A fire broke out. The equipment was damaged. No one was injured," ASTRA reports.
At the same time, the governor of the Kaluga Oblast, Roman Busargin, stated that supposedly "four drones were downed" in the region, and "there were no casualties or infrastructure damage."
Russian media resources claim that only one drone was actually downed, and three precisely hit the Kaluga Oil Refinery.
What we know about attacks on oil bases and oil refineries in Russia recently
On the night of March 13, strike drones attacked the Voronezh, Kursk, Belgorod, Bryansk, Leningrad, and Lipetsk Obalsts of the Russian Federation, as well as an oil refinery in Ryazan, where a serious fire broke out.
The Security Service of Ukraine attacked three oil refineries in Russia with drones: Ryazan, Kstovo of the Nizhny Novgorod Oblast, and Kirishi of the Leningrad Oblast.
On the night of March 12, drones struck the Russian territory in the Oryol and Nizhny Novgorod Oblast, which reported hits at oil bases with large fires; explosions rocked the Moscow, Kursk, Belgorod, Voronezh, and Tula Oblast.
On February 15, drones attacked an oil depot located in the Kursk Oblast, after which a fire broke out, and Ukraine was blamed for the attack.
Also, on March 6, a drone attacked the Voronezh Oblast. Also, strike drones hit a fuel and lubricants warehouse in the Kursk Oblast.
The Ukrainian Defense Intelligence stated that similar attacks by strike drones, as occurred on the night of March 12, could be experienced by all facilities that the Russian Federation uses for military purposes.
