Russian drones strike high-rise building in Sumy: casualties reported, ten survivors rescued
On the night of March 13, Russian invaders attacked the city of Sumy with Shahed-type kamikaze drones, as a result of which a multi-apartment residential building was hit in the city. There were casualties; rescuers managed to get ten people out from under the rubble.
The Sumy Regional Military Administration reported that on Telegram.
It is worth mentioning that at 1:27 a.m., the Ukrainian armed forces' Air Force issued a warning about the potential danger of Shahed UAVs to the city.
The local military officials instructed the people of Sumy to be vigilant and cautious and to seek refuge in shelters whenever the air raid siren sounded.

"Sumy – there are enemy UAVs in the city area. Stay in shelters," the message stated.
According to preliminary information from the regional military administration, there are casualties (information about them is being clarified); ten people were rescued from the rubble, 8 of whom received injuries of varying degrees of severity.

"All emergency and rescue services are working on the spot. The consequences of the airstrike are being clarified," the regional military administration added.
In the morning, the authorities reported that 30 apartments in the five-story building were damaged, and 15 were destroyed.

The search and rescue operation is ongoing. Civil infrastructure objects were damaged due to another attack by the Russian forces.
