Russia claims to down 58 UAVs: oil plant on fire in Ryazan, Federal Security Service building targeted in Belgorod
On the night of March 13, UAVs attacked the Voronezh, Kursk, Belgorod, Bryansk, Leningrad, and Lipetsk regions of the Russian Federation, as well as an oil plant in Ryazan, where a serious fire broke out.
The authorities of these regions and Russian Telegram channels reported that.
In the morning, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation disclosed the scale of the attack, announcing dozens of allegedly shot down and intercepted drones.
The Russian Defense Ministry claims that during the night and morning of March 13, Russian air defense systems allegedly "intercepted and destroyed" 58 aircraft-type UAVs over the territories of:
- the Belgorod region – 11 UAVs,
- the Bryansk region – 8 UAVs,
- the Voronezh region- 29 UAVs,
- the Kursk region- 8 UAVs,
- the Leningrad region – 1 UAV,
- the Ryazan region- 1 UAV.
The summary did not mention the Lipetsk region, where UAV flights were also reported at night.
Ryazan
On the morning of March 13, explosions and a fire occurred at an oil plant in the Russian city of Ryazan.
The initial report of the fire in Ryazan came out at 06:09. Later, there were mentions of "multiple explosions throughout the city."

The Baza channel reported, based on witness accounts, a drone attack on the nearby oil plant, which caused a fire to break out. They state that the fire has spread to 100 square meters, according to their sources.
"According to residents, three drones hit the plant," Baza writes.
Propagandists from TASS, referring to operational services, confirmed that the likely cause of the fire was "the fall of an unmanned aerial vehicle."
At 06:38, the ASTRA channel wrote that drones were still flying over the city, and explosions could be heard.
Belgorod
The governor of the Belgorod region, Vyacheslav Gladkov, announced at 03:07 about the drone attack on the region. He said that, allegedly, Russian air defense shot down two drones near the village of Serebryanka in the Novooskilsk district.
Later, Gladkov reported that an industrial zone in the city of Shebekino came under fire.
Windows are broken in several apartments in an apartment building; there is smoke in a box on the territory of an industrial enterprise.
The power line was also affected. Residents of Shebekino, Nova Tavolzhanka, and Maslova Prystan are currently experiencing a temporary power outage.
"According to preliminary information, there are no victims. A barn is on fire in one private household. Emergency services have gone to the scene," Gladkov wrote.
Later, it became known that an attack drone attacked the Federal Security Service's building in Belgorod. Its facade was damaged, and the windows were broken, according to TASS, with reference to the operational services of the region. They claim that there are no victims.
Voronezh
The governor of the Voronezh region, Oleksandr Gusev, said at 01:16 that an air alert was declared in the region due to the threat of unmanned aerial vehicles, allegedly "from the side of Ukraine."
After the UAV attack, part of Voronezh, one of the region's cities, was partially without electricity.
In the city of Buturlinivka, Voronezh region, there is no electricity in some areas after the UAV attack, reports ASTRA.
In Voronezh itself, the South-West market was also closed.
Leningrad region
An unmanned aerial vehicle attacked an oil refinery in the Leningrad region; the Russian authorities claim no destruction.
The governor of the Leningrad region of the Russian Federation, Oleksandr Drozdenko, reported on his Telegram channel that an "aircraft-type" drone was shot down on the approach to the KINEF oil refinery in the Kirish district.
"Production is operating normally. There are no victims or destruction. The consequences at the place of the fall have been localized and eliminated," the governor says.
Bryansk region
The governor of the Bryansk region, Oleksandr Bogomaz, reported on the attack of eight drones. According to him, the drones were destroyed over three districts of the region — "there were no casualties or damage."
Lipetsk region
Meanwhile, the governor of the Lipetsk region, Ihor Artamonov, wrote that "unmanned aerial vehicles are approaching" the region "from the side of Ukraine."
At 05:37, he added that he was receiving "information about the possible strikes of UAVs in the Lipetsk area and the Lipetsk district."
Kursk region
In turn, the governor of the Kursk region, Roman Starovoit, said at 02:56 that an air defense system was operating in the sky over Kursk, which, according to him, had shot down four more drones. Later, he also wrote about missile danger.

It should be noted that on March 12, drones struck the territory of the Russian Federation: oil depots were hit in Oryol and Nizhnygorod, where large-scale fires broke out; explosions were heard in the Moscow region, Kursk, Belgorod, Voronezh, and areas of Tula.
