Kremlin aims for 30% voter turnout in so-called “presidential elections” in occupied Ukrainian territories

The Kremlin hopes that 30% of the residents of the temporarily occupied territories (TOT) will voluntarily participate in the farce called "elections" of the president of the Russian Federation.

The Gauleiter in charge, as directed by Moscow, has been tasked with getting 30% of voters to participate in the upcoming "elections." At the same time, Russians will generally draw more than 70%, so they do everything possible to hide the lack of turnout.

"However, even 30% looks like a sky-high figure for TOT because the population does not accept the occupiers, and the social crisis in the region does not contribute to improving local sentiments. At the same time, even Kremlin fans have no desire to go to the "elections" because they understand their absurdity," the report says.

As reported, on February 25, the Russian-controlled administration began holding illegal early voting in the Russian "presidential election" in the occupied part of the Zaporizhzhia region.

Illegal elections in Kherson, Donetsk, and Luhansk regions will begin later.

Votes will be collected from residents of the temporarily occupied territories for three weeks.

At the same time, the Russian Central Committee decided that the elections would last for three days: from March 15 to 17.

After adopting amendments to the Constitution of the Russian Federation in 2020, Putin received the right to run for president in the 2024 presidential elections. Vladimir Putin has been in power for 21 years.
