North Korea suspends ammunition supply to Russia by sea – NK Pro
Since the beginning of February, Russian ships involved in trade with the North Korea have stopped appearing in its ports the NK Pro satellite footage states.
Russia and North Korea started a trade operation in August 2023. Four identified Russian cargo ships are said to have made at least 32 trips to North Korea since then.
The Russian cargo ship Lady R arrived in Rason for the first time in three months, replacing another vessel which had sailed to a Chinese port for possible maintenance work.
Lady R delivered containers from Rason to the Russian port of Vostochny. Since then, all maritime operations seem to have come to a standstill.
Russian ships associated with the trade have stopped appearing in ports on available satellite imagery.
It is unclear whether this is due to production problems at DPRK arms factories or another problem.
It also cannot be ruled out that the weapons are being transferred to Russia by air or rail across the common land border between the two countries.
