Ukraine's naval special operations unit dies in combat

Ukraine's Special Operations Forces (SOF) Command announced that a group of soldiers from the 73rd Marine Special Operations Center heroically perished in clashes with Russian aggressors.
"The soldiers of the 73rd Marine Special Operations Center heroically fell in battle while carrying out their mission, providing cover for the main forces of the group after completing a special task," the statement said.
They gave their last fight while securing the withdrawal of the main group's forces, Rubryka reports.
"The heroic and extremely difficult combat work of the SOF units on land, at sea, and deep behind enemy lines is the daily contribution of SOF warriors to victory over the enemy," said the command, urging always to remember the price at which the freedom is won.
In related news, units of the Ukrainian Defense Intelligence conducted a special operation, allowing Ukraine to regain control over the gas and oil platforms in the Black Sea between Crimea and Odesa. These objects are better known as the "Boiko Towers."
What we know about Ukraine's Special Operations Forces
The Special Operations Forces (SOF) are separate forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, including special purpose units and information-psychological special operations.
The unofficial anthem is the song "I came silently, I left silently," written during the Russian-Ukrainian war. During Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the Special Operations Forces conducted several important operations, including:
- In the gray zone near Donetsk, the SOF troops destroyed a Russian BMP vehicle and a tank;
- Near Soledar, Ukrainian soldiers eliminated over a hundred Russian occupiers;
- SOF fighters adjusted HIMARS on the enemy REB "Sinitsa";
- On the Avdiivka front, SOF soldiers eliminated a group of occupiers;
- Soldiers adjusted HIMARS fire and eliminated the most modern Russian radar complex, "Yastreb-AV";
- SOF fighters also adjusted HIMARS to the Russian SAM "Osa" system;
- SOF also destroyed the Russian radar station "Fara."
- Also, they destroyed Russian radar station equipment on one of the oil rigs in the Black Sea.
