Other civilians may be trapped under the rubble, Rubryka reports, citing the local governor

"The occupiers struck guided aviation bombs at Kupiansk. Hits were recorded in the central part of the city," said Oleh Syniehubov, head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration. "Enemy bombing killed 59-year-old and 39-year-old men. One woman was injured."

According to Syniehubov, residential buildings and civilian infrastructure were damaged. As of 14:34, specialized services are working at the scene.

Russian attacks on February 27-28

Russian forces hit a cargo ship in the southern city of Kherson, killing one person and injuring two others. Rubryka previously reported that the repeated Russian shelling of the northern Sumy region killed two police officers, and six other law enforcement officers are in the hospital with injuries.

On February 27, the Russian occupiers struck at the Kurakhivka community in the eastern Donetsk region, killing one civilian and injuring five.

Also, air defense forces downed all ten Russian drones in the Odesa and Mykolaiv regions on the night of February 28.

Debris from one of the downed drones caused a short circuit in the power grid of a critical infrastructure object in Odesa, leading to a fire.

"The fire was promptly extinguished. No casualties were reported," authorities reported.
