Russian forces strike grain hangars in Kharkiv region
During the night of February 26, Russian forces shelled two districts in the northeastern Kharkiv region.
Russian troops targeted grain warehouses and a recreation base, Rubryka reports, citing the local prosecutor's office and governor.
"At around 2:20 a.m. on February 26, Russian drones struck the territory of an inactive recreation base in the village of Skrypai in the Chuhuiv district. Five houses were destroyed, and two more were damaged. A fire broke out," said the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleh Syniehubov.
According to him, local mobile fire groups downed three Russian drones targeting the Chuhuiv district.
Approximately two hours earlier, Russian armed forces launched missile strikes on civilian infrastructure in the village of Pisoshchyne.
"Buildings of the enterprise, grain warehouses, a tractor, passenger, and cargo vehicles were damaged. According to initial data, the Russians fired two S-300 missiles from the territory of the Belgorod Oblast, Russia," the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor's Office said.
Over 15 towns in the Kharkiv region were hit by Russian artillery and mortar fire, including Kozacha Lopan, Strilecha, Hatyshche, Dvorichna, Synkivka, and Petropavlivka.
At 2:15 a.m., the town of Velykyi Burluk in the Kupiansk district was attacked with aerial bombs. A private residential building and a passenger car were damaged, with no casualties reported.
The town of Kupiansk-Vuzlovyi came under Russian shelling at 9:50 p.m. The attack damaged a private house with no casualties.
At 3:00 p.m., the Russian forces shelled the city of Vovchansk, damaging a warehouse and utility buildings. No casualties were reported.
The village of Losivka in the Chuhuiv district was hit by Russian fire at 2:45 p.m. A private house and utility building were damaged. The town of Kurylivka in the Kupiansk district was under rocket fire at 2:33 p.m. A private house was on fire, with no information about casualties.
Near the settlement of Velyki Prokhody in the Kharkiv district, two men aged 32 and 19 were killed by a mine explosion at around 4:00 p.m. Both were residents of the Slatyne village.
Shahed attacks on Ukraine
Russian forces launched attacks on Ukrainian territory using missiles and unmanned combat aerial vehicles (UCAVs) overnight. Air defense forces downed nine Shahed drones and three missiles.
Dnipro Mayor Borys Filatov reported the destruction of Dnipro's private sector due to the Russian attack. There were also reports of casualties.
Later, it was revealed that air defense destroyed three missiles and five kamikaze drones launched by Russian forces toward Dnipro. Soon after, the Regional State Administration showed the consequences of the Russian attack. In Dnipro, there were four casualties; a couple was killed in Sumy.
