Four Ukrainian guardsmen crush Russian column near front-line village of Robotyne

Four soldiers from the "Spartan" Brigade of Ukraine's Offensive Guard stopped a Russian assault column near the town of Robotyne on the Zaporizhzhia front.
The information comes from the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Rubryka reports.
"The soldiers engaged in combat against three armored personnel carriers with infantry on board. A prepared mine blew up the first armored carrier, and the guards disabled the second one with a grenade launcher," the statement said.
According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the third unit of the Russian equipment managed to unload infantry, leading to a firefight.
"Despite injuries, the soldiers did not retreat and emerged victorious from the battle, receiving necessary medical assistance. The brigade's fire support finished off the remains of the invaders," the statement said.
As previously reported by Rubryka, one Ukrainian soldier managed to repel a group of ten Russian occupiers storming Ukrainian positions. The brigade noted that this combat encounter with the Russian troops took place in December 2023.
Situation on the Zaporizhzhia front
The 47th and 82nd brigades of the Armed Forces liberated the village of Robotyne in the Zaporizhzhia region on August 23, 2023.
According to CNN, the Russian army concentrated about 50,000 soldiers on the Zaporizhzhia direction in February 2024.
During the night of February 19, the Russian forces attempted an advance in the direction of Zaporizhzhia. Ukrainian soldiers repelled the assault, destroying the Russian equipment and personnel.
On February 4, Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelensky visited Robotyne, where he talked with Ukrainian soldiers.
The president visited the location of the 65th separate mechanized brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, whose soldiers are performing tasks in Zaporizhzhia. Zelensky awarded them high state awards.
On the southern front, Ukrainian soldiers captured nearly 30 Russian troops in three days.
Also, Ukrainian defenders from the military unit 3017 of the National Guard on the Zaporizhzhia direction replenished the exchange fund with four Russian service members.
