Ukraine and Italy solidify partnership with bilateral security agreement
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky and Prime Minister of Italy Giorgia Meloni signed a bilateral security agreement. The document was signed on the second anniversary of the Russian Federation's full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

The agreement was signed during Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni's visit to Ukraine.
"Our meetings with the head of the Italian government are always meaningful. An important result of today's meeting was signing a bilateral security agreement. This document lays a solid foundation for a long-term security partnership between Ukraine and Italy," the president said.
The agreement's details are still unknown, as the document's text has not yet been published.

Most of the bilateral agreements between Ukraine and the partners who joined the G7 framework declaration are still at the negotiation stage.
However, on January 12, during the visit to Kyiv, British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak signed the first finalized agreement between Ukraine and the United Kingdom.
It is worth adding that the agreement between Ukraine and Great Britain was an unpleasant surprise for Russia. The Ukrainian authorities promise Moscow even more such surprises this year.
Ukraine and Denmark also agreed to start negotiations on security obligations within the framework of the "Joint Declaration on Support for Ukraine."
