Zelensky and Danish PM Frederiksen honor fallen Ukrainian soldiers in Lviv
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen, who is visiting Ukraine, paid tribute to the memory of soldiers who fell during the Ukrainian-Russian war.
Zelensky and Frederiksen laid flowers at the graves of Ukrainian soldiers at the Mars Field of the Lychakiv Cemetery in the western city of Lviv, Rubryka reports.
According to the Office of the President, the Ukrainian and Danish leaders also honored the memory of an unknown soldier of the Armed Forces of Ukraine who died in 2022 and was buried in Lviv.
The Lychakiv Military Cemetery is a military burial ground in Lviv. Since April 2022, military personnel who died during the Russian-Ukrainian war have been buried in the Mars Field of the cemetery.
On February 22, the Prime Minister of Denmark, Mette Frederiksen, announced a new military aid package for Ukraine valued at almost $250 million.
The governments of Ukraine and Denmark have also signed a ten-year security agreement, guaranteeing support to Ukraine over the next ten years under a bilateral treaty.
